Ayana Villa Wedding
Ayana Resort and Spa is a 5-star luxury hotel and villas in Jimbaran, Bali, Indonesia. The resort has won numerous accolades from different travel associations — and I’m not surprised why because with the size and luxury of the property they deserve such recognition.
The bride and groom, Raymond and Stephanie live and work in Beijing, China, but both previously studied in the United States for a few years. They decided to organize the wedding at Ayana Villa with panoramic views from its secluded, cliff-edge location. For me, it was always a dream of shooting at this gorgeous venue. Everybody who was there agrees that the location is incredibly successful – the views from the top of the cliff are breathtaking. This place is a dream destination for sunset ceremonies and receptions.
Wedding day
Raymond and Stephanie both got ready in their own Villas at Ayana Resort. In the morning the bride was in a traditional red Chinese dress, and according to Chinese traditions, the bridesmaids prepared door games, some funny challenges to make the groom prove his love to the bride. Then there was a tea ceremony, another beautiful tradition to show respect to their families for all the years of love and care.
A very heartwarming ceremony took place on the top of the picturesque cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean. When the bride was walking down the aisle everyone couldn’t help crying. It’s an interesting fact that the wedding arch symbolized cities which played an important role in the couple’s life. It was such a touching when Raymond and Stephanie exchanged the vows. The decorations, floras, and lighting of the reception were amazing. The wedding party prepared some songs and dance surprises. It was incredible! At the end of the reception, everyone enjoyed the colorful and spectacular fireworks above Jimbaran Bay!
