The best spots in Long Island City for a family photo session

My favorite location for portrait photos in Long Island City is Gantry Plaza State Park. The Park encompasses 12 acres and has four distinctive piers that offer breathtaking views of the midtown Manhattan skyline, including the Empire State Building and the United Nations. The park is based in a former dockyard and manufacturing district and includes remnants of facilities from the waterfront’s past.
One of the symbols of the park is the giant neon Pepsi-Cola sign. It was built in 1940 and originally installed atop a bottling factory nearby. The Pepsi-Cola sign was designated a New York City landmark in 2016.
I have photographed many families there and know the park very well. This is the perfect place for photos in any season!
